For those of you unable to find a PGE2, or can't afford one if you do, there is still hope. It is possible to modify some other programmable EQ's so that they have the same frequencies as the PGE2. The Digitech MEQ Dual 14 is a great candidate for such a mod. All that is required is to change the resistors and capacitors (2 of each per band) that determine the frequency for each band. For a dual 14 band that works out to 56 capacitors and 56 resistors, though in reality, the 1K and 16K bands are already in the right filter locations and don't need to be changed. Below is a chart which shows the values for each part and each band of the PGE2, along with a schematic of the filter circuit. Follwoing that is the filter section of the Digitech MEQ Dual 14. Bands 1 through 14 correspond to the Left channel, and 15 through 28 corresponds to the Right channel. If you don't have any experience working on electrical equipment, it is advised that you seek the help of a qualified technician. You can expect the mod to take several hours, perhaps 5 or 6 depending on experience.
